||Day Seventy-Nine||
I wanted today to be a day for relaxing. Maybe that sounds redundant, seeing as how it's summer so how much "stress" could I have. And it's not really that I have stress, but more so that all summer I've just felt the need to do things, like I've always had errands to run or projects to do. Today I just wanted to read and unwind without having to make a trip to the grocery store or doing the dishes.
I woke up extremely late, probably a new record for me -- 11:30. I was, once again, confronted with the conundrum of wanting something like pancakes for breakfast, but not wanting to take the time to make them. I settled for toast with cinnamon sugar (equally as delicious).
An hour and a half later, my mom wanted to meet me for lunch at one of our favorites, Einstein's, so it was good that I went for a light breakfast. We had our usual: pretzel bagels with jalapeƱo salsa shmear and then we split a turkey chili. It was good despite our bagels being burnt all around the edges. But then we found a hair in our chili, which was a major bummer considering it's so good.
Even though it was prime lunch hour, the place was fairly empty and we got our favorite table which is secluded from the rest of the restaurant around a corner. We sat and talked for a while, then moved to and outside and chatted some more until she had to leave for a meeting. Then it was back to me-time.
The rest of my day wasn't all that exciting. I came home and decided to do my Blogilates in the living room (switching things up). It was nice except that anytime I was laying on my yoga mat my curious dog, Zoey, would come over and sniff/lick my face. She seemed really confused about the whole process of working out. Today was "Total Body Workout" which I found much less fun than leg day, but I was able to complete all the videos nonetheless. After I finished I took a much needed shower, repainted my toe nails, base-coated my finger nails (so as to prepare them for the wedding this weekend), and then FINALLY decided it was time to read. I don't think I had even read a chapter when I started to not feel well. My chest hurt when I took deep breaths, so I decided to lie down for a bit. Of course that lead to a quick nap, which perhaps was even more needed than my shower. My mom was nice enough to fix a big spinach salad for us both for dinner and then we split one of the world's best Fuji apples.

It might not have been the lazy day I was planning on, more sleeping than reading, but it was nice all the same. 5 more days until I go back to work.
