Call me stereotypical, but Target is one of my favorite places.
I could probably spend hours there, and probably have before for that matter.
But today I just made a quick trip for products I needed, and also products I've been wanting to try.
Needed:
{+} shampoo and conditioner
{+} makeup remover wipes
{Shampoo & Conditioner}: For the longest time I heard rave reviews about the Organix line of hair products, and when I finally tried them myself I was obsessed. Currently I've been loving the "Argan Oil of Morocco" because (1) it smells amazing and (2) it makes my hair feel super soft. To me, it's comparable to Nexxus quality wise, but at a third of the price -- it's a win-win.
{Makeup Remover Wipes}: This product combines two really awesome things -- Neutrogena and makeup remover wipes. I love Neutrogena products because they are so incredibly forgiving on my poor, sensitive skin. These wipes in particular were also super soft and did not sting my eyes whatsoever. Not to mention makeup remover wipes are just cool in general because they seem less tedious and are perfect for traveling (especially if you're not checking luggage).
To Try:
{+} concealer
{+} makeup brush cleaner
{Concealer}: I've never been one to wear a lot of face makeup; I hate the look/feel of foundation on my skin and the one time I tried a BB cream was just a bad idea (breakouts like you wouldn't believe). So for the longest time I just accepted, more or less, the flaws of my face. And even still, I've never been too horrified at my own under-eye circles but I was curious as to the difference it would make if I covered them up. At first glance, you might be thinking that there isn't a much of a difference between eyes. But if you cover them up one at a time, I think it becomes excruciatingly noticeable which eye has makeup and which does not -- LEFT does not, and RIGHT does.
Is it something I will wear everyday? Probably not.
But truth be told, I'm extremely pleased with finding this product.
I used Almay "Smart Shade" in the color "Light".
It's also really fun to watch the seemingly white product "magically" blend into the right shade for your complexion. I would rate this product 8/10 because while it alleviated under-eye circles, it only somewhat would cover up blemishes. Also, a little bit goes a long way, any more than one layer of application makes it very noticeable that you're wearing concealer.
{Makeup Brush Cleaner}: This is a product that I have been waiting for for a long time. I'll be honest, I'm lazy when it comes to makeup. Until today, I had never washed a brush and as of lately I'd been using my fingers to apply any kind of eye shadow/blush, which I'm sure makes beauty gurus and dermatologists everywhere cringe. But fear no more, my brushes are clean and now I have no excuse for ever letting my face breakout due to a dirty brush ever again.
This product was extremely easy to use due to it's convenient spray top, and it even had a fairly pleasant smell. I would give this product a 10/10; the brushes look and feel like new and a whole bottle was only $7. Believe me, it's a good investment.
Target never disappoints.
