||Day Twenty-Nine||
"Summer vacation" can be defined in many different ways.
For some people, it's a time to take extra classes and get ahead in school.
For others, it's a time to take a job or two and make extra money.
It can be a time for someone to go on adventures, visit new places, and fulfill bucket list goals like "play poker in Las Vegas" or "swim with a dolphins".
And then for people like me, it's a time to rein-back the left brain, and let my right brain run free.
I love making projects for myself, or finding Pinterest DIYs to keep me occupied and de-stressed.
Today my particular project was less on the creative side, but instead dealt with organization; after all, the left brain needs attention every once in a while.
 Ever since we moved two summers ago, there have been boxes sitting in our loft just collecting dust. So, it was my job today to go through my boxes and figure out what to do with their contents.
One box contained all my textbooks from freshman year of college, one held old stuffed animals that are just too precious to give away, and then four were filled with clothes (mainly winter clothes such as scarves and sweatshirts). It was a tedious process, but eventually I got the majority of my textbooks posted to sell online, I sorted through the clothes to the point where most of it is being taken to Goodwill, and the box of stuffed animals will be put into a storage container for safe-keeping.
Despite the amount of time it took, it felt good to be productive. In fact, the more boxes I went through, the more motivated I felt to do other tasks such as clean my room and do laundry.
The point is that summer is an amazing opportunity to get things done -- whether that's taking a road trip that you've always talked about or just going through some old boxes -- enjoy it while it lasts.
