||Day Thirty||
I'd like to make this a fairly short blog post, but we'll see how this goes.Today was another productive, yet laid back day. But the high points of the day revolved around the three things mentioned in the title.
{+} Books:
Upon deciding that I need to wean myself off of binge watching Netflix at night before bed, I decided I needed some new reads. I ended up finding two books by A.S. King, though I was actually looking for a different A.S. King novel. I've never read anything by this author before, but I'm such a sucker for YA fiction that I think they should be right up my alley. I plan to start with "Please Ignore Vera Dietz" tonight.
{+} Box:
I have a problem, a shopping problem, especially when it comes to nail polish, candles, lotions, and (as of lately) Bath & Body Works body wash. Not to mention, I have such little will power when it comes to a good deal. So B&BW was having a huge sale online and in stores (which is why I also bought candles which were mentioned in a previous post), and two of these three body washes could ONLY be purchased online (which obviously made me want them even more). Each body wash was around $4 each, so it was practically a steal and they all smell awesome. I'm particularly excited to try the "Exotic Coconut" because coconut is one of my favorite smells ever.
{+} Boy:
I got to Skype my loving boyfriend tonight. He was even so kind as to smile for a picture (or 6, sorry, Jake). Being an LDR couple, Skype is a lifesaver. To me it feels ten times more personal than texting. And for us, it's so casual; we don't feel pressured to fill the silences or have some elaborate heart-to-heart every time we Skype, we pretty much just hang out as if we were sitting in the same room. Is it the same as hanging out in person? Obviously not, but it helps me in that it makes him seem less far away. It makes me hopeful for when I do seem him again, and it just puts me in a better mood.
He's everything to me.
Another day of summer has come and gone. It honestly feels like it's going so fast.
I swear the days between when I got home from school (May 10th-ish) and my birthday (May 20th) were the longest days of the summer. And then ever since my birthday it's gone by in a flash. That's one reason why I'm glad I started this blog, though. I want to look back and see all the things I did this summer and know that it was spent well. So far, so good.
