||Day Nineteen||
Around this time last year I had upgraded my phone from a slow, slightly water-damaged iPhone 4, that in my opinion could die forever at any moment, to a new Samsung Galaxy S3. Overall, I was happy with it. The screen was big, camera quality was good, and I had no regrets leaving team iPhone.
Then in August I moved into my apartment at school, which amazingly had a pool.
So one day I was laying in the hammocks by the pool, when I needed to adjust my towel-pillow. Stupidly enough I had set my phone on top of the hammock; I bumped the hammock, phone fell, screen shattered. Then for a year I had dealt with it and swore I was going to get it fixed, but I waited.
And now, I'm glad I did.

Thanks to my beyond amazing mom, and this program with Verizon called "Edge", I was able to replace my poor S3 with an S5 AND have the possibility to sell the S3 for money (though this was all found out through a complicated process involving "research", two failed trips to a Verizon store, and the help of 4 particularly great Verizon employees).
It's so beautiful.
My mom also made the good judgement call to equip my screen (as well as hers and my brother's) with this screen protector called "Black Ice". Basically if you drop it, it will crack the protector but will keep the actual phone screen intact. Which is pretty darn amazing, if you ask me.
So far, I love it. I would already go as far as to recommend it. Though, the true test will come when I start taking photos for instagram (16 megapixel camera on this bad boy).

Anyway, if you're in the market for a new phone, even if you're a die-hard iPhone person, check out this phone. Because it is awesome, and it will blow your mind.
