Along with my efforts to create and maintain this blog, I have also made the resolution to take a photo every day so as to capture the memories of my summer. I'd like for every photo to represent something significant of that day, but I'd also like to not limit myself to simply one photo a day.
I wish I had started this earlier, seeing as I've already missed almost two weeks of photos, but better now than never. Essentially, I'd like for this "project" to consistently allow myself to be creative as well as pull my trusty D3000 out of it's premature retirement.
For day one, I have the picture of a ticket stub.
Thursday May 14th, one of my best friends, Alayna, told me of the ever-so exciting opportunity that is "The Night Before Our Stars". If you are unfamiliar, "The Night Before Our Stars" is an exclusive premiere (being held the night before the actual premiere, if that makes sense) for the movie "The Fault In Our Stars". Then, after the movie, the audience will experience a live simulcast with John Green (the author), Joshua Boone (the director), Wyck Godfrey (the producer), as well as Ansel Elgort, Shailene Woodley, and Nat Wolff (the leading cast).
Anyway, tickets went on sale the morning of May 15th. With determination, luck, and overall awesomeness, Alayna scored the tickets before they sold out at our theater. Then, today, I had the task of finding the theater (and I may or may not have gotten lost some 5 or 6 times) and picking up the tangible keepsakes. It is bound to be a night to remember, and I am so thankful to be going with Alayna AND my boyfriend Jake. I really couldn't be happier.
