If there's anything I've inherited from my mom, besides the obvious
physical resemblance, it's her love of decorating for the seasons.
She even has a whole cabinet in her office dedicated to various holiday decor.
With this being the second year in my apartment,
I decided it was time to get little festive.
And what better season to start with than Fall.
So, in honor of it being October (the tenth month), here are the ten ways
that I have prepared myself for this wonderful season.
{1}
Mini Pumpkins
Nothing says "Fall" quite like a pumpkin.
Though, the idea of a 5lb pumpkin sitting in my apartment
seems a little impractical, and costly. Instead, I invested in some
mini pumpkins. They're as adorable as they are versatile.
I put one on our coffee table and one on our fish's tank.
After all, Buzz is pretty pumped for Autumn too.

Flowers
Since I'm not great with the upkeep of real flowers,
and I wanted a more frugal way of decorating,
fake flowers seemed the way to go. Not to mention
I can change them out as frequently as I want.

Cookies
As soon as I saw these hit the shelves again,
I knew I had to stock up. These cookies are
dangerously good, and yet so simple.

Candles
If you hadn't noticed, I'm obsessed with candles.
Bath and Body Works is my favorite place to shop for
any candles, but especially for Fall. The variety of scents
are to die for and the adorable packaging make these
candles wonderful decor.

And, for a cheaper way to fill my apartment
will the sweet smells of Autumn, I picked up
a few of these small votives.

And for an extra touch of aesthetic, I dressed
up my votives with a textured jar.

Blanket
Blanket
Fall and blankets go hand-in-hand.
Especially when we're trying to save some money on our
next energy bill. So, I like to dress up my apartment
with soft blankets in warm colors.

Nail Polish
A new season means new colors from Essie.
And I must say, the Fall collections are always my favorite.
A dark jewel tone, plus a cool neutral will
get me through until December.
$8.50 each from Target

Wall Decor
Though I plan to hang this beauty year round,
this elephant tapestry contains all the colors
of Fall. Not to mention how it will liven up
the plain white walls here.

Candle Warmer
When I feel like changing things up from my
candle stash, I like to use my candle wamer.
Specifically for scents that I want to fill the
whole apartment, as opposed to just one room.

Candy
Is it really Fall if you don't eat candy corn?
This year, in particular, I've been loving "Indian Corn".
