Excuse me while I try to procrastinate writing a paper for philosophy,
but I was feeling inspired.

You've seen it all over Pinterest. Greek yogurt this, Greek yogurt that, substitute Greek yogurt for everything. I had had Greek yogurt many times before, usually the kind with fruit mixed in, but I had yet to experiment with "plain" Greek yogurt -- until today.
From taste-testing many different plain yogurts of the summer, I came to the conclusion that Fage was a happy medium between low fat (or rather, nonfat) yet not too sour.
I used nonfat Fage as the base for all three of my current favorite Greek yogurt "recipes".

Greek Yogurt "Parfait"
I used:
{+} 1/2 container of nonfat Fage Greek yogurt
{+} ~1/2 a peach
{+} a handful of Grape Nuts
{+} drizzle of honey

I like this recipe because it's extremely versatile.
In the summer I dressed this up with blueberries, and then later on I would have blueberries and peaches. You can also swap out granola for the Grape Nuts, I just think they give the yogurt some texture while keeping it fairly healthy.
I also like to just use half a container at the time, because 1. half is plenty filling for me (as breakfast, or a snack), and 2. then I can put the other half in a Tupperware container to prep for another time.

Greek Yogurt "Ranch"
I used:
{+} 1 container of nonfat Fage Greek yogurt
{+} 1 package of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning

This has all the flavor of regular ranch dip, but with way less calories, fat, and, as an added bonus, tons of protein. I can see myself using this as a dip for vegetables (particularly carrots) or spread onto a sandwich/wrap for some extra flavor.

Greek Yogurt "Cookie Dough"
I used:
{+} 1 container of nonfat Fage Greek yogurt
{+} 2 spoonfuls (about 1-2 tablespoons) of "White Chocolate Wonderful"
Peanut Butter & Co. peanut butter
{+} 1/4-1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract
{+} a handful of mini chocolate chips

When I first saw this on Pinterest, I knew I had to try it. Why it took me this long to go through with it, I don't know, but let me tell you -- it is amazing.
I will say that this was the toughest to mix, since the peanut butter is so thick, but if you wanted to get fancy and use a mixer, that would probably work better than just a spoon. The recipe on Pinterest also called for a sweetener such as honey or agave, but honestly I don't think it needs it.
If you try any of these, I recommend this one.

I am officially a believer.
