||Day Seventy-Five||
Seeing as how this will be my second blog post of the day, I'm going to try and make this one brief.

Today was the first day that I could go pick up the pottery that my mom and I had made last week on her last day of summer. I decided to take the dogs for a car ride (they LOVED that) and make a quick stop for the pottery. I'm really pleased with how mine ended up turning out. I think all the colors showed up really well. Let's hope I get some use out of it once I get back to school.
Once I was back from the pottery place, I pondered on what to do with this beautiful friday.
I could have taken my brother shopping -- but I didn't really feel like dragging him out of bed, which I think he appreciated as well.
I could have gone for a run, seeing as how I'd missed the past... three or four days, but that thought wasn't really thrilling me either.
So I decided to get a little creative. I went up to my room, picked a target bag off the floor, and brought it downstairs. Inside the target back was a large plate, a small bowl, a candle stick, and E6000 glue. Today I was going to make my "cake" stand. I wrote a whole blog post about it and explained my process, so if you're interested you can click here. I love how it turned out and I'm glad that I can finally check that bad boy off my ongoing mental to-do list.
Finally, it got towards the end of the day. I had finished my "cake" stand, and still felt some motivation in me. I didn't even have to ponder about what to do because this time the answer was in front of me. As I scrolled through my instagram feed I saw a post by Blogilates which talked about her new calendar for August. Basically, every month Cassey Ho (the youtuber known Blogilates) creates a day to day workout schedule using her youtube videos. For the longest time I had wanted to try this monthly program, which is free by the way, but I always felt like I should start on the first day. So this time, I did. If you're interested you can go to her website, www.blogilates.com, sign up (it's literally just putting in your email and confirming it) and then you will receive the password for the monthly calendar. I decided to print mine out and track my progress day-to-day. Today was easy, it started with videos on relaxation and stretching, but I followed it up with another one of her videos (which was not recommended on the calendar) that was an ab workout. It absolutely killed, but it made me want to do more. I took things one step further, and decided to go for a run.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't like running. And today, I almost just abandoned the idea of running altogether. I was going to start Blogilates and ditch my (not so) daily runs. But something lit up in me today and made me want to push myself. Whether or not it will be like this everyday, considering that the Blogilates workouts are no joke, I'm not sure, but I'd like to see.
Now it's the end of the night, I'm sore, I'm definitely tired, and I'm ready for a good night's sleep.
