||Day Seventy-Six||
I woke up today feeling a little rough. After committing myself to the Blogilates "#GiveItYourALLGUST" workout calendar and running my fastest mile yet, I was stiff as a board. But I carried on. The morning was fairly so-so. Planned to help my mom clean the house, we both ended up getting distracted by funny animal videos. Life happens. But, then we both decided to be productive so she mowed the lawn while I started to put my bathroom back together -- we had just replaced the vanity, the countertop, the sink faucet, and the shower faucet. I was pretty excited to shower in my own bathroom after almost a week of three people sharing my mom's.

With some productivity behind us, my mom and I went to Einstein's to treat ourselves with a blackberry lemonade. It was refreshing and delicious, but extremely sweet. I drank half and saved the rest for tomorrow. But as we sipped our lemonade we did some Target shopping -- classic.
 By the time we finally got home it was almost 5, so I knew I needed to get on my "Day Two" of my workout calendar. Day two absolutely kicked my butt. There were three workout videos to accomplish. The first one was fine, just a basic warm up video that got your heart rate going. The second video was torturous. It's called the "100 Burpee Burnout", so if you know what a burpee is you can probably already feel my pain. But this was almost worse than just 100 normal burpees (maybe, I've never tried and definitely don't plan to), it was ten sets of ten different kinds of burpees; regular burpees, superman burpees, one-legged burpees, one-armed burpees, tuck jump burpees... each one more taxing than the last. It took me a while, but I accomplished it, and I will forever relish in that feat. The worst news, however, is that that same video shows up in two weeks. Seriously, I don't know if I can do that ever again, but I suppose I will try.

My thighs felt hard as rocks but my legs altogether felt weak, like Jell-o, when I walked. I decided it was best to give myself a break before the final workout of the day, so I helped my mom with dinner.
We made roasted vegetables (my favorite) and turkey burgers.
 This time, we used tomato, zucchini, eggplant, and the tricolor sweet peppers. Just toss in olive oil, sprinkle some salt and pepper, then pop in the oven until they seem done; easy and delicious.
 To celebrate my burpee accomplishment, I even allowed myself a piece of pepper jack cheese on my turkey burger. Though let's be honest, I would have probably put cheese on it anyway, just now I can feel less guilty. It doesn't look like a lot of food, but I was full afterwards. I've also been trying to drink just a small glass of milk with meals and desserts to help fill me up.
 After dinner, I faced the dreaded last workout. My legs were feeling better, but my abs were not prepared. The video was less than 10 minutes long, but again, it was rough. The worst part, however, is that in the last video we did MORE burpees. I almost cried. But I pushed through and completed the whole video. And that's the point of Blogilates, to push yourself, to feel accomplished, and to always improve.
I feel proud, I feel sore, but I also feel ready for the next few days of this calendar.
I'm going to use every fiber of my being to continue with daily workouts, even when I'm working, and even when I go back to school. It will be tough, but it will be worth it, I'm sure.
