||Day Fifty-Nine||
After recently visiting my grandparents, they passed along this enormous binder full of pictures, writings, and memorabilia from when they visited my family in Taiwan. We lived there briefly for part of my childhood. Of course, I was too young to really remember anything, so I rely on pictures and old home videos to make my own "memories". Tonight I decided to go through my grandparent's binder.
Nineteen years ago, my grandparents were "blogging", or I suppose it would be called "journaling". Their entries are short and to the point. Not to mention they were typed up on what I can only assume was a typewriter.
In Taiwan, people would frequently fawn over my brother and I because we were American babies. Sometimes they would even confuse us for twins, except if they couldn't speak English very well they would just ask, "Double double?".
Going to cherish this binder seeing as it seems to be one of the only sources, that I have found, of my baby pictures. Over the summer I've tried to rifle through some boxes we've yet to unpack so that I could find some old pictures, but have only been successful in finding ones of my brother. I guess that's the price I pay for not being the first born.
I also wanted to note that today was my grandpa's birthday. His 80th birthday.
If I live to be 80, I can only hope that I am lucky enough to be like my grandpa. He's funny, easygoing, and hardworking (he gardens like it's no one's business).

I swear my grandparents still look almost exactly like this. Twenty years has hardly changed them.
I wish I had a good enough memory so that I could remember small snippets from living in Taiwan. My brother can recall a lot of things from it, considering he was 3. It's such a shame that one of the most exciting points in my life I can't even remember.
Someday, when I'm older and possibly married, I will travel to
amazing places, make my own memories, and definitely not forget.
