||Day Ninety-One||
This morning was peaceful.
Some leftover cinnamon rolls, a good book, and the comfort of the living room couch.
This morning I also decided to try out a coffee drink in my Keurig.
I've always liked the smell of coffee brewing, but any time I've tasted coffee (besides the kind of a cappucino machine, which is probably hardly coffee) I've always been put off by it. I ended up trying a "hazelnut" flavored coffee. As I thought, it smelled great... but the taste was extremely strong. I added some milk and stevia to sweeten it up a bit, but even still, I could hardly stand it.
After three or so sips, I ended up pouring the rest down the sink.
 Since I had the morning off, but had work in the evening, my roommate and I decided to do something fun. So we went to the pet store.
First stop: the kittens.

These two orange rascals were the most precious kittens of the bunch. They were constantly playing with each other, sneezing, rolling around, and just generally causing a ruckus.
 Among the adorable kittens, we also found baby chameleons, which I think are the coolest things in the world.
 On our way out of the pet store, we saw something even better, more kittens. Lively kittens.
Kittens climbing the cage, sitting in the litter box, play-fighting, and, occasionally, sleeping. They were all adorable and I just wanted to take them all home with me.
 So besides going to fawn over kittens, one of the main reasons for visiting the pet store was to get my dog rain boots (or rather, booties). She is a major princess when it comes to getting her paws wet; she will hardly even go outside, let alone walk in the grass, if it's raining or has rained. She handled putting them on pretty well, but walked with a hilariously exaggerated gait. Overall, I think she likes them.
We had also gotten her a raincoat, but unfortunately it didn't fit. Hopefully I can get the next size up soon so I can really complete her ensemble.
 Last but not least, we also got our pet fish, Buzz, a new plant for his tank. This was only fitting seeing as he is officially a year old now. I forgot to take a picture of him, though he's hard to get a picture of anyway, but here's his snazzy new plant at least.
The rest of the day was fairly low-key. I went to work for a few hours, but managed to get off before 8 pm. I made a quick dinner of an almond butter and jam sandwich, then played a board game with my roommate and neighbors. It's good to be back and around people you know.
One week from today I will be mentally preparing myself for the first day of school.
Oh how the summer has flown by.
